The breakdown for discussion of book. Leigh isn’t in love with her boyfriend who later becomes her fiance but Weisberger makes a point of telling us that while she doesn’t want to have sex with him, she isn’t repulsed by his touch, either. That being said, it was one of those reads where my brain didn’t need to be entirely present or working to comprehend what was going on. Thank you for signing up, fellow book lover! When Leigh calls Emmy to tell her of her engagement, she tells Emmy flat out that she doesn’t think she’s in love with her fiance but all Emmy wants to talk about is the proposal and the ring.
When Emmy knocks on Leigh’s door after her boyfriend had dumped her and Leigh calls Adriana who rushes to be at her friend’s side.

Having said that, it was a fun story about fabulous neurotic characters All the “nice guys” got to me! Plus, she had those “no human contact mondays”, an idea which I simply adore and plan to exercise in the near future.
Recently dumped Emmy promises to make a drastic change and find guys from every continent for casual affairs. For example, Andrea is a graduate of Northwestern University in the chsaing, not Brown. I oauren felt the pop culture references were way overdone. Their friendship is forever, but everything else is on the table.
Overall, this was a hxrry, fluffy read and I’m glad I didn’t devote more than a couple of days cahsing it. She said “querida” in almost every sentence she uttered.
